Food & Wine Pairing

Food and wine are a magical combination – each one enhancing the other in such delectable ways.  To celebrate this, we have our own on-site Chef who allows us and our guests to continually explore and experience the subtleties of food and wine pairings.  Chef Cyndicy Coudray loves nothing more than to prepare luscious meals for our guests and pair them with DeLoach Vineyards wines. Here are some of her favorite pairings for our varietals:

Pinot Noir

– Pinot is one of the easiest red wines to pair with food. Unlike other reds that can overpower many dishes, Pinot’s subtle softness only enhances red meat, poultry (it’s a great Thanksgiving wine with turkey) and the classic pairing – mushrooms.

Chardonnay

– Chardonnay is so versatile it pairs well with nearly any white-wine-friendly food,  and is a good bet when a variety of dishes are being served.  Creamy sauces are especially delightful paired with Chardonnay.

Zinfandel

– Zinfandel is a big, bold spicy wine that can easily overwhelm some foods.  Spicy Mexican or Asian foods hold their own against this varietal, as do beef, pork, and poultry.
