1976 Wines first sold direct only; vintage 1975 Zinfandel only from Barbieri Ranch – Cecil DeLoach is winemaker, 1,000 cases produced.
1979 First phase of Olivet winery completed. Added: White Zin (the first in the Russian River Valley!), Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer. 8000 cases produced.
1980 First Chardonnay introduced; DeLoach becomes cult darling with release of 1979 Zinfandel. Randy Ullom joins as Assistant Winemaker (now Chief Winemaker for KJ).
1980 - 1981 Chardonnay a hit! First national distribution. Wines allocated. Production reaches 15,000 cases.
1982 First O.F.S. (a Chardonnay) made
1983 Second Phase of Olivet winery built. Tasting room opens. First Cabernet made from Tom Dehlinger’s grapes. Production reaches 18,000 cases.
1984 First Pinot O.F.S. made, 100% open-top fermentors with hand punch downs.
1987 The main Olivet winery completed. Production reaches 45,000 cases
1988 Bob Cabral, now winemaker at Williams-Selyem, joins Randy Ullom's winemaking team as the new cellar manager.
1989 Production reaches 85,000 cases. Double-digit sales growth each year.
1995 Production reaches 120,000 cases
1997 - 1999 California line introduced. Dan Cederquist becomes winemaker.
2003 DeLoach family partners with Boisset family of Burgundy, France.
2004 First full harvest under Greg La Follette (formerly of Flowers, Hartford Court).
2005 30th Anniversary of the first crush! DeLoach celebrates with a 30th anniversary cuvée (coming late 2005); a completely renovated tasting room, designed by wine country architect Howard Backen; and a renewed commitment to small-production, high-quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel with sustainable and organically-grown grapes. Also, 22 acres of estate vineyards were re-planted according to biodynamic farming methods.
