This wine is fairly big in style, dark in color and intense on the palate. Notes of blackberry and cedar are intertwined with ginger, clove, allspice and Szechuan peppercorn. This wine delivers focused dark berry fruit, and finishes with layers of plum, cherry and earth.

Pale yellow gold in color, the 2010 Ritchie Chardonnay reveals aromas of Fuji apple, floral notes and orange peel. These characteristics carry over to the palate along with a bit of toastiness that helps provide a rich, full body. This Chardonnay strikes the perfect balance with its medium acid, leading to a full, long finish.

89 Points- Wine Spectator - Beautifully crafted, a lighter style that's delicate and perfumed, with rich, vibrant supple plum and black cherry fruit that's deep and persistent. Drink now through 2018.

88 Points - Burghound - A ripe cherry cough drop-infused nose also evidences a hint of menthol before marrying into suave, round and agreeably rich flavors that coat the mouth with sap on the moderately warm finish. This notably ripe effort is not really my style though I underscore that it helps greatly to maintain an appropriate serving temperature.

This delicate Pinot Noir is elegant and perfumy on the nose with nuances of rose petal. Upon entry, note a light, red robe immediately followed by flavors of delicious red cherry and raspberry fruits. Hints of cola and sassafras add to a complex yet enjoyable palate. This wine is well-balanced and finishes with a lush, round palate. Excellent alone or with grilled salmon or a seared duck breast with a blackcurrant glaze.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast - A fine Marin Pinot Noir, showing the dryness, zesty acidity and rich, deep red fruit that mark this cool, coastal county. Bigtime in raspberries, strawberries and cherries, it's complexed with subtle minerals, mushrooms and Indian spices. So elegant, with 13.5% alcohol, you can give it a chill in the fridge

91 Points - Borghound - A somber nose only grudgingly gives up notes of plum, spice and violets that are followed by delicious and solidly complex flavors that are shaped by fine-grained tannins that impart a sophisticated mouth feel to the attractively persistent finish. I like the delivery as well as the overall sense of focus and balance. Worth considering.

92 points - Wine Spectator - Offers a pleasant laomy clay earthiness as a foundation for the dried berry and savory herd notes.  Complex and persistent, holding onto its earthy core, with touches of black tea. 

94 points - Wine Enthusiast - Pinot Noir just doesn’t get richer than this. It floods the mouth with ripe flavors of raspberries and cherries, with fascinatingly earthy things, like truffles and pine cones. Vibrant acidity and a hint of furry tannins give it a fine structure. This upscale Pinot Noir is drinkable now and should evolve over the next six years.
