DeLoach Vineyards Takes Green Winemaking To A New Level

Santa Rosa, CA – April 1, 2012: DeLoach Vineyards announced today that it has created the world's greenest wine. Made from grapes grown at the winery's certified organic and Biodynamic® estate vineyards in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, the wine is available only through the company's unique Barrel-to-Barrel program, an environmentally friendly package featuring a 3L eco-bag housed in an attractive miniature French oak barrel.

By most measures, it would be hard to get much greener, but that wasn't enough for DeLoach—incredibly, even the wine is green. General Manager Lisa Heisinger explains "We're proud of our farming philosophy and our eco-friendly packaging innovations, but there are so many wineries claiming to be green these days. It's confusing and frustrating for our consumers. We wanted something that would make it really obvious we're serious about being green."
